Guiding Questions for Developing Technology-Enabled Lesson
Plans
1) Does technology add something new to this activity that
was not already accomplished in another way?
2) What are the benefits of using technology in this
particular lesson? Are there any negative consequences?
3) Do I have the necessary skills to use this technology?
4) Is this technology appropriate for my students (middle
schoolers)?
5) Will the use of this technology benefit all of my
students or just a specific subset?
6) Does this particular use of technology really cater to
the 21st century student, or does it just dress up 20th
century learning?
7) Do all students have access to the necessary equipment to
complete this activity? If some of them do not, is there an alternate activity
that they can complete? Can students work in groups to ensure that all students
have access to technology?
8) Do I have a backup plan in case technology fails?
